The Middle Paleolithic of the Côte Chalonnaise: Chronology, Technology and Palethnological Elements

This article examines the technological and general appearance of Middle Paleolithic assemblages from a number of sites in the Côte Chalonnaise, Burgundy, France. Emanating from several assemblage characteristics observed within the stratified material from Grotte de la Verpillière II, ongoing research could demonstrate congruent technological patterns in the assemblages of a number of surrounding sites.
