Description
The demise of the Neanderthals, the arrival of modern humans in Europe, the evolution of art, music and symbolic behavior, as well as other key issues in Paleolithic archaeology and human evolution, are synonymous with the site of Geißenklösterle Cave in the Ach Valley on the Swabian Jura.
The current volume presents a wide range of results from the archaeological sciences that focus on topics includ-ing geoarchaeology, dating, paleoecology, human subsistence, and others, with special place given to the extensive zooarchaeological studies, made available here for the international research community.
